The gag reins are attached directly to the cheek pieces giving the rider the ability to raise the horse's head with a single-jointed bit.
A second set of reins on the single-jointed bit helps control the intended effect making the movement gentler but effective.
The gag reins have a nylon section that slides smoothly through the single-jointed bit rings. Adjusting and removing the reins is very easy as you don't have to remove or alter the bridle.
The reins cannot be used with a gag bit.
They also feature a smooth, soft leather part made from specially selected full grain French leather to be hard-wearing and stretch-resistant. The inner side of the rein hand features a smooth nylon lining to be hard-wearing and long-lasting.
These reins are made from 13 mm wide rubber.
